I want to look at the two political parties in the United States of America: Republican and Democrat. Both parties have their champions: Republican--Abraham Lincoln, Democrat--Thomas Jefferson. Democrats generally have a greater trust of government and lesser trust in wealth that stimulates greed. Republican geneally trusts in the providence of God and less trust in government supervision. Of course there are many more fundamental diffences that reflect their origin, but also modifications over time.
First, they both want what is best for the United States.
Secondly, a comparison:
